TOXIC CHEMICAL INDICATORS

These indicators change color at very low levels (~1-10 ppm) within hours to days of exposures to toxic chemicals such as:

• Strong oxidants such as hydrogen peroxide, chlorine and chlorine dioxide
• Epoxides such as ethylene oxide
• Aldehydes such as formaldehyde

These toxic chemicals are used for sterilization of medical products and people working with these chemicals and sterilization equipment need to be monitored for prolonged exposure to them.
