TIME-TEMPERATURE INDICATORS (SHELF-LIFE INDICATORS FOR PERISHABLES)
Most perishables, such as food and pharmaceuticals, have shelf life and their quality/potency needs to be monitored. We have developed color changing indicators, such as that for time, time-temperature, temperature, freeze, moisture and thaw for monitoring quality of perishables. Time-temperature indicators (or shelf-life indicators) change color, e.g., from green-to-red when shelf life of foods and pharmaceuticals expires.
TIME INDICATORS
(VISITOR’S BADGE)
The time indicator changes color, for example, from blue-to-red, after a predetermined time. The time required for the color change can be varied from hours to months. There is only a slight effect of temperature. The time indicator can be used to prevent a reuse of tickets and passes (e.g., theater and spots tickets and visitors and bus/train passes).
